This workshop is ideal for beginners through to intermediate artists. Whether you are picking up a brush for the first time or have some experience with painting, this workshop will offer valuable insights and techniques to enhance your skills.

Throughout the workshop, we will explore a variety of techniques and themes to elevate your painting abilities. Here's a breakdown of what we will cover:

- Learn to paint expressive, impressionistic acrylic paintings that capture the colour, light, and essence of a scene.

- Stretch your creativity by getting out of your comfort zone and pushing past what you see to what you’d like to express.

- Utilize value and negative patterns to give your paintings strength and depth.

- Show the Artist’s hand with bold brush strokes and use “unexpected” colour to set the mood.

- Create movement and tell a story through strong composition and design.

- Prepare canvas/board and explore underpainting approaches.

- Master color mixing, achieve color harmony, and understand why limited palettes are beneficial.

- Apply varnish techniques to make your work glow.
